Your Community Council

The key roles of Symington Community Council are:

​

To represent the views of the Symington community to South Ayrshire Council and other public bodies operating in the area

​

To act to further the interests of the community in Symington

​

To be consulted on planning applications within the Symington area

​

To consider exercising their powers to object to the granting, renewal or transfer of liquor licences 

​

To consider applications that substantially change the use of existing premises within the Symington area

​

Community Councils play an active role in expressing the views and concerns of local people within their area on a wide range of issues of public interest. Symington Community Council is in place to act as a voice and focal point for any matters the community wishes to raise.
