At a hearing of South Ayrshire Planning Regulatory Panel, the planning application by Banks Development for a housing development at Stockbridge on Symington Road South was refused. Objections from South Ayrshire Planners due to contravention of the Local Development Plan, and also objections from Ayrshire Roads Alliance resulted in the councillors unanimously refusing permission for the development.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, the public consultation for the land at Brewlands Road, Symington has been postponed until a later date to be advised.

Gladman have submitted a Proposal of Application Notice to South Ayrshire Council for the land at Brewlands Road, Symington that was previously refused by the DPEA. Public consultation due on 3 June 2020.

The DPEA have advised that Gladman's Appeal for development of the site at Brewlands Road has been dismissed.
